Noticed that I get dumped either to Char screen or desktop quite often, so I thought we could use this thread to provide as much information as possible about What Happened{tm}

Situation: Character was in Akanon, type #zone misty. Dumped to desktop

Here's what I see on the zoneserver side:

Zone request for:Sliben to: misty(33)
Player at x:-19 y:8 z:18
Zoning to safe coords: misty (33)
Zoning player to:misty (33) x:-1 y:-1 z:-1

Client disconnected: Sliben
Automatic shutdown
Message:----SERVER SHUTDOWN----
Zone shutdown: going to sleep

DEBUG: spawn2count=0, npc_count=0, npcloot_count=0, gmspawntype_count=0

Here's what I saw on the worldserver side:

I'm running 0.3.4 server on the same machine that I am playing on, but my friend connects from a different machine and gets dropped logging into the zone sometimes (not always)

This is me getting dropped on zoning:

Zone request for:xxxx to: freportw(9)
Player at x:-1592 y:20 z:-519
Zone point found at x:-6 y:1581 z:-51
Zoning player to:freportw (9) x:100 y:1216 z:-24
Zoning complete

*
Player attempting to delete spawn: xxxx
Client disconnected: xxxx
Dropping client: Process=false, ip=x.x.x.x, port=2908
Automatic shutdown
Message:----SERVER SHUTDOWN----

Here's the zone server when my friend logs on to only get booted (this is a different character, same account...and it usually only happens if I'm logged in and he tries. If he is logged in, I can log in and play fine for a while, then he gets dropped again)

This is my friend logging on to get booted (LD):

Its a packet problem, and since 3.4 is as-is, its not going to work until 3.5

I dont know if this will help but try editing your datarate.txt file in your EQ directory from 5.0 to 10.0 that may help. it wont hurt EQ at all but it also helps on the lag side.
