Bots in group with PCs

I know a few months ago...bots mixed with players was a bad thing. Is that still the case? My wife and I had a bot in our group and things seemed fine. Are there any issues I need to be aware of?

Staying in zone is ok, if anyone leaves the group or zones it causes some problems that you can fix by camping out.
