I am running a linux server On my lan, with linux.

Everything seems to be peachy right now however, I am the only one that can log in. I get 1017 errors telling me to repatch when i try to connect with another PC on my lan.
The Miniloginaccount.ini file reflects the proper ip,uname and password for that particular pc.

The database->account has the proper info.

The login user name is ma // is there a minimum name size?

I can not think of anything else to help anyone help me solve this.

My primary account has no problems and both PC's are running the excact same version of eq.

ANy help is appreciated,
Mick

You have the NAT lan issue using linux as a firewall..

Do a lookup on NAT and you'll find a variety of threads on the issue. In a nutshell, you need a dynamic dns name and a hardcoded dns name in your windows host file.

How come it works on my Everquest pc and not my wifes that is right next to me?
My Ip is 192.168.0.2 and hers is 192.168.0.5

The lanside IP for my emuserver is 192.168.0.1

It works for me but not her?

The problem is most likely something silly like something binding to the wrong interface or an incorrect subnet mask. Are there any other protocols/services that dont work?
