Also, people come and go in cycles. Fairly slow cycle right now IMO for the EQEmu community.

I would assume that the XAMPP devs setup MySQL to match prior versions. In the default install of a clean MySQL 5.6 the advanced options no longer pop up for a number of settings that we setup....
