Can confirm Sorn's solution above. Downloaded CMake 3.8.2 and went into Visual Studio to download "Desktop development with C++". Compiled with no errors after that. I suspect 3.9.1 might have worked...

What is a reasonable conversion rate for distances in EQ to real world distances?

For example, how many feet does 100 /loc points equate to?
