Default How To Make My Own Server?

how hard is it to host a server? cause i would like to make my own database up to luclin. but mainly velious and kinda learn how to make my own custom items and custom quests. nothing ridiculous just newbie quests for decent gear. could anyone point me in the direction of how to learn?

i wanna design a PvP style, learn to set up the guild war function. i want it mainly up to velious.


i have a 2 gig laptop thats an amd 2.6ghz to be a server full time, and will soon be buying a new pc to upgrade this one *3.2ghz celeron, 512mb agp8x ati sapphire, 2 gigs of ram* going to be getting a 2.2.ghz amd dual core, with 8gigs of ram and a 1 gig vid card soon after a cpl more checks.*

Not hard at all. I decided to set one up on my laptop and it went fine. Was bored so decided to give it a try.
