Hiya

I've just signed up and am having the same issue. Is there a delay between creating your first LS and the data propagating to the server?

If it's just a matter of waiting a few hours while it updates on the server then that 's cool. Or is there some other issue?

I've followed the set up instructions to the letter.

Just wanted to mention, despite setting the launch target correctly ( with patchme) the launcher still patched. From years ago playing the game I do recall the launchpad would update, so is this normal and OK? Obviously, as I'm unable to connect, this isn't the patcher actually updating the game files and, yes, the files are all still original and untouched (including the eqhost.txt file).

Cheers

If it patched, then you made the shortcut incorrectly and you will need to re-install the game (depending on how far the patcher got before you stopped it).

The shortcut should be to eqgame.exe patchme, not everquest.exe. If you run everquest.exe it will run the patcher and once that happens, your client will not work with EQEmu.

OK thanks.

I know what I did wrong in the process, now.

The problem was when I copy pasted the target from the guide, it didn't have the (x86) on the program files path, so instead of correcting that I just used the default and added the "patchme" at the end, which means it is, of course, now directed to the everquest.exe file (I'm a numpty )

I'll reinstall it and go again. Thankfully, my machine's fast enough that installing it only takes a few minutes

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction
