New here + server question

Hey everybody, I've been digging around on the forums and site for the last several days trying to get a feel for what's going on here. A friend told me about this and I'm pretty interested.

Since I'm introducing myself, I played EQ for several years (Classic to Omens) until RL caught up to me. I played some MMO's after that but nothing more than a year maybe two. Absolutely nothing has compared to EQ so I'd like to play on an emulator server and check it out.

Of the list here,

I was most interested in the server listed as "Eq Progressions", however I've spent the last few days trying to reach Subme503 on AIM with no luck. Is that server still running? Does anyone know how far they've progressed? Are there similiar, well ran emu servers? Thanks in advance.

PEQ, Project1999, EZ Server and The Rathe (axclassic.com) are ones that I know are up and running and have steady player bases. Not sure about the Progressions one. That wiki page hasn't been updated in about two years.

Im doing an LOTR/scifi server, its not finished yet but its playable as long as you dont mind completely balanced gear and like 1 or 2 zones not havin drops
