If they can somehow make their game look somewhat different, yes.
With the 9999.09 MMORPG games out there its going to be harder and harder to get people to chose your game over the other MMORPGs
One way I could see them doing this is if they would come up with an interesting theme for it, Sci-Fi fantasy would be good, but another medieval game would not be good. Just off the top of my head we have AC2, EQ, Camelot, Horizons, etc. But I can only think of two good Sci-Fi ones, AO and SWG.
That guy from FoH said the game was amazing, but of course after playing EQ for so long i'd be impressed by any new game coming out.

DAoC is losing a lot of people right now, they seriously dropped the ball with the TOA expansion. Horizon's was probably one of the worst MMOG's I've ever tested.
UOX and EQ2 sre probably the only 2 upcoming MMOG's even worth the HD space, well from what they show on their sites anyway. WoW is a maybe as well.

If by "big hit" you mean largest playerbase, I think WoW has the advantage over all forthcoming MMOG's. They have the respect of a large fanbase, much larger than that of EQ. Sigil, while they may produce a quality game, lacks this fanbase.
The only way WoW is gonna lose is if the game sucks. That's a bet I'm not willing to make. Blizzard writes tight code.

I'm counting on EQ2 to be crap like the rest of the MMOGs that sony has made.
In my opinion WoW is the only upcoming game that stands a chance.

Um, considering that Brad created EQ I would say that their game will be very good. I don't know how good and I don't know long it will take to create but it will be good.

Sorry, but the only team members that were worth a shit that worked on the original EQ left a while ago. Considering the state of EQ today I see Brad is doing just a bang up job!
