Spell files are usually server-specific and you can acquire them from server sites and put it directly in to your client's directory, why would you need an 'updated' version, that seems rather useless, if you really need it you can download the Steam F2P client and take that spell file.

What server are you trying to log in to? I have, personally, never gotten an error about a spell file, is it Project 1999? And if so, go here for support about Project 1999 issues.

WooT!!! I solved the problem. if anyone else is having this problem on project99 server download this link

http://www.project1999.org/files/eqchangesv28.zip

or go to

http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...d.php?t=114944

and download the zip file.

once you download the zip file, drag each file in the zip file and replace each file to your everquest folder. it will save and replace each file. DO NOT PUT THEM INTO A DIFFERENT FOLDER INSIDE THE EVERQUEST FOLDER, scroll down and drag them below

(on visa to access your everquest folder- click start, then click computer, then click drive C, open program files(x86). open the sony folder, open the everquest folder. drag each file you downloaded in the zip file to this everquest folder and replace them- DO NOT PUT THEM INTO A DIFFERENT FOLDER INSIDE THE EVERQUEST FOLDER, you need to replace the files below them)

This forum is not for Project 1999; however, this may help you resolve your issue. Seems their URL changed from http://project1999.org to http://project1999.com and that file is no longer available. I believe there is a link to their current files within that post. If that doesn't help you, feel free to register on their website and ask them.
