Default Crashing

For starters I followed the guide word for word. Everything works great, server loads, I'm able to login, and even create a character. The problem comes as soon as character completion and the game attempts to zone. I get a Windows error pop-up and the games locks-up. When I restart everything, I need to remake my character (delete the one in the DB) and it will do the same thing again

What database are you using, and did you apply SQL updates per the changelog.txt?

Is there a fix or at least on in the works to fix this problem?

Look around for an answer, more people use MySql 5 and don't have these problems.
Do a search in this forum for the problem you have.

Use build 866 or higher, the changelog states:

FatherNitwit: Maybe fixed issue with losing items when zoning in mysql 5.

If it still doesn't work, then back down to MySQL 4.0, I have found through tests that it is the best version performance wise for EQEmu.
