Default New Server - No NPCs Spawn -Help Me, I am a retard ...

Hello!

I must have made a mistake or skipped something but I can't figure out where I went wrong ....

I deleted my old server setup and database, uninstalled my old files completely, and setup a new server following the Complete Windows Server Setup Guide.

Everything works fine and I can boot up the server and login but when I do, there are no NPC, mobs, etc.

Anyone have any idea what I could have missed? I started over again, removed everything and uninstalled and setup but I still have the same problem.

Any help is much appreciated. I must be having a brainfart meltdown, LOL.

There are a few threads that had the same problem. You need to run a SQL query with the new npc special attacks changes. You can see about it here.

I'm not sure if the guide you followed is up to date or not, but the DB SVN is obsolete and you should not use that to source new installs. Instead, grab the DB (and quests if you want) from: http://peqtgc.com/releases

If you build with RelWithDebInfo ... make sure to copy over ALL the files and not just the EXEs.
Saw someone else have similar issue and this was their mistake.

(Just an idea not sure what you did.. just throwing this out there )

You don't need to copy the PDB files, but if there's a crash you won't get a useful stack trace unless you do.

Ah well I saw someone else only copy JUST the Exe files and NPCs did not spawn.

So I guess you need everything besides PDB files you say?

Dunno what else would be in the directory, I haven't built the server in quite a while. The PDB files are optional though. I wouldn't be surprised if they missed an exe along the way.

Thanks, I will try that. Is there a SVN for this or is it just on google drive now?
