Default Faction question

When you look in DB (NPC_TYPE), you can setup faction for NPC, lets say i put faction 2 and i edit faction 2 with faction hit.
Can i add faction 2 to all NPC using the same faction and faction hit ? or i need to setup a faction for every NPC ?

I know, question sounds stupid, but i wonder if there is a difference.

If you mean:

Can orc_centurian and orc_legionare both use faction 2, which is deathfist_orcs and gives + faction to freeport and - faction to deathfist, yes. See my sql for how this is done.

If this isnt what you mean, can you give an example?

Thanks Govtcheese for confirmation, i wasnt really sure it will work this way, needed to be sure before faction implementation.

heh.. I looked at the faction tables and decided with all the other custimizations I'm doing, I'll save that for last. They kinda made my head spin.. heh I'll probably be asking questions when I get that far though if my fellow world builders haven't beat me to them.. :P

lol... I don't have any faction stuff which I have built at the moment.. But I'm anticipating going to need a few.. I'm just a noob and getting starting building my world and developing the lore of what is happening. Right now just working on building the spawn tables, working on zone points and developing some of the quests that control travel and point assignment. I never dreamed that filling out a zone was as involved as it is. Heh
