Default LAN - Disconnect Post Char Selection

Good Morning,

I've scoured the forums/wiki etc, and find a few posts about similar situations, but nothing that matches my situation.

Outside world players - login and play on my server just fine.
LAN players - log in, char select (create toons etc..) but then get booted back to login after a short 'hang' period where one would assume the game is loading.

Most issues I had found are the opposite - port forwarding issues etc.. etc..

Local LAN ip addressing is 192.168.0 (1 is my router, 114 is my EQ server)
Public IP is correct, as listed in the eqemu_config.xml

I did a complete client re-install on my PC last night...
Firewalls and AV off...

Cannot connect to port 7004 on the server ?! I mean, it seems like it is trying to directly connect to the Gateway... this may be correct per say... but I would assume it should be going direct to the game server at .114 at this time.. ??

I'd appreciate your insight, thoughts, etc...

Thanks for the links, I had seen one of them prior, and read it, and understood it to be the exact opposite issue of what I am having... still though, maybe some bread crumbs in there...

So, going through the links here for the last couple of hours and trying to harvest what I can out of them.

Still trying all sorts of stuff... I still find it baffling that the disconnection is happening on the LAN side.. but working fine for the EXTERNAL users.. weird as all hell.

Working on local login server now.. see if this helps at all.. though I can't see how it would.. I dunno.. lol..

there should be a comment above <address></address> and <localaddress></localaddress> that says something to the effect of:

Code:
<!-- Only specify these two if you really think you need to. (read: You don't) -->
the fields you have populated were originally commented out. if you put them back that way, you should be able to log in through your local login server or the public one, if you have them both active at the same time (tested locally and it works).

you've also got an extra <host></host> tag in <world></world>. i can only assume it's a left over from a copy/paste of the login server information.

Well, in the end I got it all running.

So - at this point, all is well.

I appreciate the feedback and links provided, they did help point me in the right direction.

Thanks,
