Is anyone with any idea of what they are doing out there?

Hi, i havent been able to check on the Emu's progress or the such for the past two months. I have been reading around, and I see that many people, one of them being me, are having 1017 error problems. I have also seen that no one has answered any of the questions anyone has asked about it. So Im going to ask this straight up:
What is/might be causing this?
How can it be fixed?

Oh, and one other thing... with the patcher, after I run it for the first time, i get a 303 String error, and have to reinstall it to fix it. I have tried this several times, and I get the same problem every time. It isnt really an issue for me, since all I need to do is change eqhost, but for others who have to do more or dont know .txt from .wav, this might be an issue. Not complaining about it, just commenting.

All in all though, great work guys, this project has come a long way from when I first started!

ok, these are all answered but ill do it again here so hopefully people will see it,


1017 is caused by the server version not matching the version of the player. the fix is to try a diferent server.


the patcher is still buggy, come on now people it was the first reliece. The patcher is also NOT needed it was brought out for when SOE patches again, to play now patch to live and change the host file.

Almost every new post in this thread is a support request, nothing personal Carimonn, but this may be why people are not getting responses.
