First off id just like to say I love Eqemu and everything you guys have done.

But I was just wondering with this new release is there any chance the servers are more stable?? I stoped playing due to the massive amount of lags and dealing with disconnects all day =(. 56k and AOL are not my friends.

Yea back in the day when there were free dialup ISPs... i could get under 100ms ping to game servers, they rocked. AOL on the other hand is terrible

I know people who play EQ on a 28.8 connection with very little lag, then i know people who have AOL broadband and have major issues with lag.

AOL uses a TON of your bandwidth for all kinds of crap. i had Broadband aol and dumped it for roadrunner..

I despise aohell

When I had AOL. I never got lag and zoned really fast. Though I got like 200+ pings in FPS games. But with EQ I never had a problem. Maybe it's the fact it was back in like 3.0/4.0 days. I saw what my friend has.. 9.0? It's like.. super buffed out with a million images and worthless crap you don't need.

Road Runner Is Below Eartlink In Overall Satisfaction Same Company Provides The Equipment And Service But EL Is Cheaper and has a bunch of features and junk

Very true, but of corse I am on a military instilation so my choices are dial up or RoadRunner :(

If i would live 2 blocks away (off post) i would have a lot of choices, damb Army.

I am not in the army i got out a year and a half ago, my wife is still in 8) Im a stay at home Dad.

And my Old SGT is a member of EQEMU, its NOT against the law so why would the army care if people use it?

goverment agencies have been tryoing to stop it and i thought it was in that gray area where they dont know cuz sony has designed their game to be P2P and changing that is what i thought was in that gray area thats why i used the qualifier "Questionably"

i have Charter T1

works great for games

for FPS games im constantly pinging sub 30s. If i would uprgrade my ram zoning into any zone save bazaar would be >2 seconds. Currently with 256 mb its about 5 seconds

It seems like 10-13 players is the max for a sever, after that it's difficult to get logged on let alone stay on.

Yeah alot of items will effect it, but its what I see with a 59Kish connection with Earthlink..

See these are bandwith issues not EQEMUlator issues.

if you are on slow connections (less than DSL) i wouldnt expect great stability, also if the server you are on has a slower connection upspeed (anything less than say 384kb/s) i wouldnt even bother.
