That if you where late in visiting this site and just now learned about the 5 DR4 servers, that you're too late to bother updating EQ until after you update what they recently changed...
In other words, an updated today eq folder won't get me on an eqemu 5 DR4 server.
Darn I'm always a day late and a dollar short lately. I haven't seen the new server since you guys first started working on 5. Well, maybe I'll check in on this site sooner next time.
Keep up the good work! :)

Yeah, Lethal said that the opcodes changed, but that it wasn't a huge deal. I wouldn't worry TOO much about it.
Give them some time and it should be fixed relatively soon.

I've pushed the new code out to CVS, so should be available to whosoever decides to upgrade...

OK, I'll try getting on in a few days and hope people running servers have implemented that change by then. Thanks!

To be clear, this new code you've added is a fix for the Oct. 9th patch refered to in the post about it (http://www.everquestserver.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10585&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=) in the News section, right? Or not?
NM... I got on tonight (morning) and actually got to play with a Frogglok for awhile (amused my 9-month-old with it). Of course, then I had to zone and get kicked to server screen. After which I could only get as far as the character creation screen before getting the wonderful BSOD (ie: You Have Been Disconnected). Oh well, at least I'm in sync with the emu again! That screen is most likely the combination of my online speed and the server's online speed. And since mine's only 26.4, it's probably mostly responsible. :P
