What client? error 1017

Hello all,

I wondering what client i should have for EQemu 5.2, i stopped play about 22/11-2003 so about there should be the last time i patched, so have a a few small questions!?

1. Are i able to play 5.2 with that patch getting 1017 error, tryed like all posts about this error?(if yes i will post my configuration when i get home)!!

2.Is there a way i can check what client version i have?

3.or could i patch up to today? before the new patch comes? or should i change to 5.1?or like what emu software is compatible with that patch?

you only need to update.
If you update you will play all versions 0.5.X.
After update, be sure to change edhost and datarate, and just play. For me it goes, if not, follow the guides.

This belongs in general support, please stop posting support threads in general discussion, it really does get annoying. Whatever you do, don't patch after 6am EST on the 18th, or you might not be able to play for a long time.

no it does not, if you read on the main page, is says
DO NOT PATCH! EQEMU IS BROKE AFTER 18DEC!

and 5.x will work if u did patch before that..

Sorry for my bad english that was what i meant it works with the patches up to todays date 18/12-2003!!!!!!

But i patched like about 1 hour ago, did i get the new patch then?
i mean it was supposed to be down at 19 swedish time and four hours ahead, and if that was correct then i shouldnt have it!!
