Just SQL that in and you'll be able to zone into them if you have the files.

getting the files is the trick without patching hmm ...
well time to make a backup and test that out <G>.

its not hard..

just do this.. copy your eq dir

patch

copy the files to your backup dir

del your patched dir.

copy your backup with new files to original dir..

Poof..

sounds tricky but you mean basicly just copy the world files over im guessing...delete all the exe and dlls and such...

I dont understand one thing.
If you dont have the patched client exeecute files in there how will it except the zone? My understnading is theres a list of zones that are legal in one of the everquest executes???

i tried it patched up then copyied all except the exe and dlls and now my spells are all hearts... and they give wierd spells effects.
still was unable to zone to the new zones.


system restore fixed the problems.

Works great for me i got into abysmal fine Barindu crashed but i think its because abysmall laged me so bad

P.S. I dont like what I see in abysmal :( I was hoping more of an ocean of tears look we need more island adventure zones ohh well

Edit my steps

copy working(eqemu) eq directory to folder(backup)

Patch the backup

copy the working(eqemu) eq directories contents

paste over folder(backups) contents

select yes to all

Edit again -- new spell effects were patched In still not as good as originals but there better than curent effects

I noticed the eq patcher downloaded: nedaria.s3d and nedaria_obj.s3d -- but this zone and zoneid isnt in your discordzones.sql -- is this a new zone? -- Would add the zone myself to test this, but I don't know the ZoneId # -)

it might be a 'free'-zone, that isnt in the expansion,
its like a 'connecting'-zone, like gukta to LoY..
it might be a new cool zone added to make people
want the expansion more... :S

I'm pulling zones out of the discord directory on the patch server.. so if there are discord zones outside(which I doubt, cause I got a list of them off the client) then I didn't get it.

Nedaria will be the initital link zone between the current world and the upcoming expansion (ie., Stonebrunt to LoY expansion). It was actually patched into Live a number of patches ago but was recently updated.

dark how are you pulling it out of teh GoD directory in the patch server?

Just did a test on the new zones the eq-live patch lets u download now.

1-abysmal - works
2-barindu - works
3-kodtaz - works
4-txevu - takes you to inktuta - wrong zoneid #
5-inktuta - takes you to qvic - wrong zoneid #

--only ones ive tested so far....

erm.. I tried to zone into them and it told me it couldnt find "xx" zone. So I figured that zoneid would be for zone "xx". I haven't been able to test the new ones.. so if you find any bugs, just update it.. sorry.

There's a typo in there, too. "vyxtta" instead of "yxtta" for the short zone name.

Missing a couple zones compared to the Beta zones I've downloaded thus far...

qvicb (subzone to qvic I presume) and sncrematory. There is no snforge file yet, so maybe forge became crematory /shrug.

All the zones I did, was before the beta, which were all in the client. If you want to update it, go ahead.. I don't play EQ anymore.
