I keep getting this error when I start boot5zone.bat and the zone.exe loads:
[Status] Warning - plugin.pl: Perl runtime error: open 'plugin.pl' No such file or directory at (eval 3) line 1.
What am I missing here?
I am running 5.3-DR2 with Perl.
Thanks,
Meneldil

sounds like your missing perl, or part of the perl install.

Nope...everything else loads fine...just no plugin.pl file...but I fixed it. The plugin.pl file from what I have read is for loading quests. So I just made one. No biggie.
You shouldn't assume that someone installed something wrong or such, not everyone is n00b and is completely clueless with what they are doing.

Ok not a problem, I am adding you to the do not help list. I just offered my opinion since others have had this issue and it was because they didnt install perl. You dont apretiate / want help okies you got it. :P
glad ya figured it out and good luck.

plugin.pl is just an optional file for 'plugins'. if you dont know how to script your own plugins, dont bother, and ignore the error ('warning' actually).

Meneldil, that was a real s**thead response when someone was offering some help, especially considering he didnt make any claim that you were a noob in his post...
And for the record, I'd assume you were a noob anyways when you're posting a message about 'can't locate <filename>' , and you havent even checked to see if the file was there in the 1st place before posting...
Sheesh...

Actually I DID check and see if the file was there.
Sorry for the s**thead response...It has been a bad day and I took it out on mattmeck, when I shouldn't have.
However you pointout something interesting...and that is how people make automatic assumptions about people based on how the phrase things, that is also a s**thead thing to do, and it happens a lot.
