when i try to log in (both minilogin or the other server)
i get invalid version error (and on the world window i get used disconected as many time as i did try to log in)
that's when i run with patchme
if i try to run in EQW EQW just stay blank window after i i pres launch EQ (not frozen windowas i can still minimize / close)
prety sure i didn't did something bad as i got no error during the proces any one know what i should do?
(sorry if i did an error or it is something that is posted 10X a day or something i readed a bit the forum and didn't saw thread about that)

RTFM (Read the free manual :) ). first line says Run everquest.exe and patch. always follow the readme again if you get any errors along the way (even after upgrading or if you know the entire thing in your head).

"unable to get hostname" sounds like dns resolution error.
are you on dialup?
have you tried using localhost or 127.0.0.1 for the addresses in loginserver.ini?
if your on dial-up does it work while you are on-line(using minilogin)?

nm...i noticed the adsl.
when you are connected to the internet does it work?
your setup looks fine(minus the addition of :9000).
was wondering why the non-default choice of ports for zoneservers...shouldn't matter though.
mmm...i must sleep now too. i'll check back tomorrow see if i can help if you still having trouble.

adsl everything i did was online and couldn't be another way as i don't use minilogin (discovered eqemu a few day ago so i had already the new dll that doesn't work with minilogin)

if u're speaking about the port in batch file it is the default 1 u have diferent one in
Boot5zones.bat (for win nt / 2K)
i use
Boot5zones.Win9x.bat
as i'm under 98 where they are the default port

loginserver should NEVER NEVER NEVER have a port. that is what "loginport=" is for..
worldaddress should NEVER NEVER NEVER have a port. whoever keeps saying to put a port in it is wrong.
