When I click world.exe ( everything is installed)
I get:
Loginserver.ini read
Suing databse 'eq' at localhost
Loading items...done.
Loading guild ranks...done.
World Server Listening on: port 9000
(nothing more...)
when my Loginserver.ini reads:
[LoginServer]
loginserver=eqlogin.eqemu.org
worldname=Your Server Name Here
locked=false
account=
password=
worldaddress=YourIPhere
loginport=5999
then when i open Boot5zones
world.exe continues onto:
"Unable to get the host name. Error 11004" over and over
then"New zoneserver #1 MYIPADRESSHERE
Can anyone help me? or tell me how to fix my problem?
Thanks,
Lokon

The EQEmu forum is not for support.
[LoginServer]
loginserver=eqlogin.eqemu.org
worldname=Your Server Name Here
locked=false
account=
password=
worldaddress=YourIPhere
loginport=5999
This helps none when you tell me the default loginserver.ini and add "i did everything right" (basicly). Try pasting your real loginserver.ini (anyone can see your IP by checking the who's online list so dont worry about it lol). also paste your boot5zones.bat file along with what OS you're on.

ok copy and pasted.
[Database]
host=localhost
user=****
password=****
database=eq
[LoginServer]
loginserver=eqlogin.eqemu.org
worldname=Rennin Fo
locked=false
account=
password=
worldaddress=24.243.129.140
loginport=5999
I then run world.exe and get this:
Loginserver.ini read.
Using database 'eq' at localhost
Loading items...done.
Loading guild ranks...done.
World server listening on: port 9000
(That is before running the Boot5zones, i do not get a "Connected to LoginServer: eqlogin.eqemu.org:5999" underneath everything else.)
Then Running Boot5zones, world.exe changes to
Loginserver.ini read.
Using database 'eq' at localhost
Loading items...done.
Loading guild ranks...done.
World server listening on: port 9000
Unable to get the host name. Error: 11004unable to get the hostname. Error:11004Unable to get the hostname. Error: 11004New TCP connection: 24.245.129.140:1458
New zoneserver: #1 24.243.129.140:1458

New zoneserver: #2 24.245.129.140:1459
New TCP connection: 24.243.129.140:1460
New zoneserver: #3 24.243.129.140:1460
Zoneserver SetConnectInfo: 24.243.129.140:1459: 24.243.129.140:7998
( so on all the way to #5 )
Boot5zones(all)
say this:
Using database 'eq' at localhost
Loading items & NPCs...done.
Spells loaded from 'spdat.eff'.
Loading guild ranks...done.
Loading faction data...done.
connected to worldserver: 24.243.129.140:9000
Entering sleep mode
Then when I run EQW it goes to Server Login and I type in my Acct name and Pword and I get a Error 1001 message.
Please Shawn if you could help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you,
Lokon,
if anyone else has a solution in hand please tell me.

Maby a loginserver problem? re-check the IP on worldaddress and boot5zones.bat. you didnt list your OS or the actual boot5zones.bat file (but i had to edit out your mysql login and password lol)
if you would have listed your OS i would have told you how to get your real "IP Address".
Shawn319
04-12-2002, 03:22 PM
lol mind reader.
goto Start-> Run-> CMD
then type ipconfig in the dos window. paste what it says for "IP Address"
Lokon

Okay my coder friends (other devs hehe) seem to think its a common internet connection problem. try restarting your computer and reconnecting to the internet (if it doesnt when u first boot up). then try everything again.

You need Drawde's World Data 0.8. it can be found in the dev forum on the top (in a sticky). if u have questions about it try reading all the replys and if it doesnt help then reply to that post.
Told ya it was the packetloss hehe. just took a while to finally get all then packets in (dont expect very good connectivity tonight)
