ERROR: String Not Found. (303) ?????

I've got the old message to go away and now this one is up why and how do i get rid of it.

While that question had almost NO information, I'm going to pull at straws..

1) WHERE is the error message?
2) What are you doing when you get the error message/
3) have you patched to live?
4) What server are you connecting to?
5) Does 303 I don't see anyone by that name around here... fit?
6) Thats from my eqstr_us.txt, assuming you see it in the client

Well maybe I can give more information.

Any buttons that show up in the game, and almost any other value, comes up as Error String Not, probably says found after words, and then gives some number.

I tried replacing those files but so no solution yet.

I hope this helps anyone... well help us.

ya my friend is having the same prob that error comes up when you try and launch the game everything seems to be set up right but he still gets the error im thinking it might be hes computer but im not sure

This thread is more than a month old... Is this problem still happening in 0.5.5-DR1 ? if so tell us.. and explain how/where/why u get this.. i dont have any problems.

its not me with the prob its my friend

when he clicks eqgame it tryes to load then gives him the

(303) String Not Found error and i got no clue at all how to fix it

Try doing a complete file check inthe EQ patcher.

i did that about 5 times :P everything is set ok but still wont work

the EQ patcher lol.. do another complete file check.. if that doesnt work try totally deleting and reinstalling EQ, then patching fully.

hrmm, im getting this error now too. It happend right after i went and messed around with the eqstr_us.txt. Was trying to add some custom messages in, bad idea :D.

Ive replaced the file with a backup and that dosent work.

The error appears with pretty much every line of text in-game. Only things that arent affected are Character, spell and item names. Some mob names are ok, some get the error.

i found the prob with that you will need to run the game off Eqwindow it will get rid of that error i found on some computers eqgame dosent seem to work when you make the shorcut on yer desktop and patch it so run it from eqwindow and you should be fine
