I have gotten rid of those annoying ads that were being displayed. We were not making enough money to cover expenses with them anyways. In their place are less intrusive amazon ads that should be a little easier to deal with. If you purchase anything through amazon.com, please go through our link, it doesnt cost you any more, but the project receives 10% of the purchase as a referral. Your support will help out the project a lot. Although the support of the community has enabled us to have our main dedicated server paid for a while, any continued support will be greatly appreciated :)

Cool, its too bad I already did my big purchases there this month though.
Thanks for the change, it was bringing undue attention to my at work surfing :) and I am more likely to be able to give back to the comunity now.

but the project receives 10% of the purchase as a referral.
Amazon.com Associates only get 5% up to a maximum of $10 per item.
But either way, goodluck! It never hurts to earn money through them.

Yah I know they are little annoying, but at least they arent popups/unders. To set the record straight noone used the amazon link, we made less than $20 in two months of using it (compared to the server costs of $120 for the same time frame). We got a GOOD deal with these ads; they are impression ads which means noone has to click them and the money we make in just 1 month for these ads will pay for the server for over six months. (Yes that is how good of a deal) :P
So in short, it might be annoying, but we have to make enough money to cover server costs.

That's great! :D I don't mind having to look at the ads. Anything that will help with the project is ok with me

I, personally, dont mind the ads. I realize that costs have to be met... I dont have any money to donate or I would, but I also would rather see any ads rather than have the site closed down.....:)
