(worm attached)
Our reply:
Thank you for you interest in contributing to EQEmulator. I'm sorry, but at this time we are not excepting worms or virii as additions to our server emulation software.

I would guess some disgruntled EQEmu board member forged the 'From' address of the email, but still quite funny nontheless.

It's a multi-mailer worm, which forges from addresses. Lots of it going about.
Don't Ruin the fun lol

mass mailer, yes, but I dont think that address was spoofed out of nowhere. According to Symantec, it searches files for email addresses to use and tries to send the email using the persons email account, but is also known to spoof. That leaves three possibilities:
1. This guy from sony had our email address in one of his files and he was infected.
2. Someone is disgruntled at us and decided to send it to us in hopes of tricking us into opening it.
3. It is just a huge coincidence and the virus somehow come up with both our email address and the sender being from sony. I highly doubt this option though.
I'm thinking it was probably number 2, but 1 is definately cooler :P

Maybe he had the email cause he uses EQEmu, and he steals all of the servers' original ideas. Maybe there will be a guildwars expansion, or a nifty-new <insert random thing we have they don't>?
And it could come with a 1st addtion Image Card!!

Disgustingly humorous. I can't believe sony would go to such lengths, that is, if this was intentional and not caused by the mass-mailing worm.

I got like 10 emails with that worm attached to it...thankfully my University Email deletes all suspicious attachments before anyone can download them. Damnit now I gotta watch out in my safest email inbox...what is the net coming to?
