login aborted.....

Hey, i downloaded everything on the guide to run 5.0 up to the part where i do the
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/eqemu login
stuff, everything was downloading well, all in the right spot and everything looks fine, until when i typed that in it asked for pass, i left the password blank and got this error
cvs [login aborted]: Error reading from server cvs.sourceforge.net: 0: No suchfile or directory
Everything is in the right folder and i followed directions exactly without any errors to that point, i looked through the forums and could not find anyone else with the same problem.
System stats are
1.7ghz
Windows XP
700+ ram
trying to run 5.0 server

Also, i have a 65 paladin with 211 aa's just sitting there, if you could throw in a link to a post that tells how to packet collect then ill help you guys out there! Thanks

why not just download the precompiled binaries? then just follow the directions in setting up a 5.x server found in the Tutorials and Howtos section.
