Hey When hit a server then play it takes me to an error that said eqgame messed up while trying to run EQGFX_DX8.DLL. I tried to dlete it then redownload it but, still it came up with that problem. I also tried onto diff servers but same response.

I would try installing the latest version of DirectX, 9.something IIRC, but at least make sure you have the lowest supported version, which is 8.1 I think.

a known fix to your error and the eqmain.dll err is to delete eqmain.dll,EQGFX_DX8.dll,eqclient.ini, eqgame.exe, and some other files that sony says to delete. then repatch and is should work.

This is bullshit. I have tried everything. Why dont the developers give some advise?

Because this is generally a client problem, or a problem with drivers etc on your PC. Can you login to Everquest live with no problem ?

Update all your drivers, run Windows Update, reinstall your EQ client. If that doesn't fix it ... /shrug

Also try searching for EQGFX_DX8.DLL

here

http://boards.station.sony.com/ubb/everquest/cgi-bin/search.cgi?action=intro&default=3

throws up lots of hits. Read through them and see if any apply to you.
