ok after reading magicks post about forceloading models into other zones and i got the idea of forceloading a few new models(LDoN goblins, sand elfs, pop gods, pop models, LDoN orcs, etc.) into some zones like using LDoN goblins and orcs in old world zones, but before that i needed to figure out how to find model ids and i think i did(i believe most of the time model ids are the first 3 letters in the name if you look in the eq model viewer ex. gob is a old world goblin and i think dra should be naggy and sce is a bastion giant of some sort ) but when i try ad forceload the client crashes when loading any of the zones using this(all freport files and my dungeon kinzone).
3
sce,bothunder_chr
dra,soldungb_chr
sro,solrotower_chr
Im not sure what causes these crashes but i think it may be a wrong model id or zonefile in the model viewer it says solrochains01 for pop ro i use sro because i thought srochains01 might be wrong but i might be wrong, just wanted a seconed opinion what do you guys think?

like using LDoN goblins and orcs in old world zones, but before that i needed to figure out how to find model ids and i think i did(i believe most of the time model ids are the first 3 letters in the name if you look in the eq model viewer ex. gob is a old world goblin and i think dra should be naggy and sce is a bastion giant of some sort ) First, I was under the impression, that only certain models can be loaded globally, which means that if you try and load one that is NOT able to be loaded in that zone, you will crash.
Secondly, I am not sure if that is true or not (model being the first 3 letters of the name), but have you tried looking at the server guidbook? It has model id list and zone id list and is pretty comprehensive (not sure if it has LDoN or not though). You can find it here (http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10900&highlight=server+guidebook).

those are the models numbers for spawning mobs or changing races in-game, force loading models is when you FORCE the eq client to load models from other zones and use them in-game(and you cant force load them using the in-game numbers) thats how i can make LDoN and PoP mobs appear in old-world areas, and it seems i did get SROs id wrong cause i removed it and got Freeport to load the water giant from the bastion of thunder. and if you do not force load the models and try to use them in-game it will not crash it will just show a human.
it seems to me like you dont know what im talking about so heres a link.

I see, you are correct. That is something different. My apologies. So, then, were you correct? Are the id's of the models as you suggested, the first 3 letters in the models name?
While I admit I dont know much about this subject, I am trying to help, not just for your sake (which is the main reason), but the more I discuss it, the more I learn about it (in the fashion that I can learn it best, as opposed to just reading, I am doing hehe).

I am assuming that it is usualy the first 3 letters and maybe in some cases more.

So you said you got the water giant loaded, and it didnt crash? Did, then you get the others working like you wanted?
