MSS32.dll error

i followed the instructions for installing... but now when i run shortcut to eqgame.exe i get a mss32.dll error, how do i fix?

i followed the instructions for installing. For installing what, a server? If you are JUST trying to play, there is no need to install anything, just change a couple of things around. Please provide more information.

sorry i misworded...
i didnt install i meant followed instructions for just playing on a server... i did run the patcher that i later read i was not supposed to run, however, i read a post that "undid the damage" or whatever (ran thorougn file chck + changed eqhost.txt)... i dunno about mss32.dll or whatever tho? my regular eq works fine, only when i run eqemu i have this problem

Ok you can play eqlive just fine? And you DID patch eqlive? Are you trying to play eqemu from a different directory? If so, did you patch that up to eqlive also? You didnt use eqemu patcher did you? Did you try reinstalling direct x? Did you try reinstalling eq after you reinstalled direct x?
