Can't connect to login server

I can't connect to login server and I can't really pinpoint why yet. Is it possible that my campus connection blocks certain ports? If so is there a workaround to it? Any advice and/or workaround to login problems would be useful.

Did you change your eqhost.txt file as per the guide? If so, yes you could be blocked by campus firewall, as most colleges wont allow connections of this type.They tend to block all access to things like online games, kazaa, and any p2p programs. The only work-around I know of is to find a way to open the ports needed to connect to EqEmu's loginserver. Dont get yourself into trouble with your college, it isnt worth it. If your college is REALLY nice they would allow you to get your own ISP DSL or something like that. ... But again, that is a judgment call on the universitys part, as some will some wont.

well my roommate plays EQ Live. So Im sortof lost. Im figuring there could be an easy work around.

Maybe you should talk to him and find out what he did to get around it. He might have a proxy set up, or his own ISP or something to that nature.

umm i was on server screen but i couldnt log on server so i got out to check sometinh out

igot back to eq and at log in it sais nor bad user/login... :cry:
