Ok heres what i am asking .... I want to know about how much hard drive space is needed to make your own server?
another is would i get viruses from people logging into my servers?
and last but not least if i would is there some way to stop them from infecting my computer... i have dealt with my well share of viruses in the past year....

Im not saying it ISNT possible, as we know where computers are concerned anything is possible. But the people that log into your server dont login directly but through eqemulogin server. So technically they dont even know where it is coming from...... So as a rule of thumb, NO you shouldnt have to worry about worms and virii from people playing on your server.

My server takes up about 300 mb on my hd, but I have binaries, source, sql files, etc, etc, in the same location for ease of finding stuff. Your mileage may vary.
