Problem w/ Logging in EQEmu

I got the account here on this message board approved, as I needed to.

I have tried to go into EQEmu while logged into this message board and also tried while not logged in.

EQEmu tells me I have a bad user name or password, but it works just fine here. Why is that? What am I doing wrong? Any help will be appreciated.

Sometimes it take up to a week to get your account activated (server-wise). You have to remember there are a TON of people joining EqEmu everyday, just be patient. If after a week goes by and you still cannot get in, then post back here and the admins will probably go out of their way to help (just try not to be rude to them, cause nobody wants to help rude people). :)

I got in the server selection part! yay!!

Now to get passed this error 1017 and get the right version. I read on another post that this is a common problem. I'm gonna try to figure it out - but do you have any spoilers for me on how to fix it (if it can be fixed)? Thanks.

EDIT: Apparently cuz i have the newest version of eq - the emulator is not yet compatable with it.

Try playing on servers that are listed as 0.5.5 DR 1, they should now be compatible with the newest patch (read as of the 18th), but remember anytime you patch eqlive other than the date given, such as the 18th patch, you take the risk of breaking EqEmu. This is because we have no idea what content is going to be changed and most importantly, when it will be changed...

I've done everything announced here in the posts, but im still getting 1017 error on every open server in eqemu....i even deleted my opt files, and i didnt have any txc files... any more help out there? im stumped

Edit: should i delete any certain files and repatch to get new ones?

hmmm. this is a different account for the person ---> nogoodnix -- I can log onto 5.5 dr1 servers on same comp that I CANT log on with nogoodnix account -- wierd? its not me, its the logon server -- can you guys fix this?
