I installed EQ and patched it. Fixed Eqhost and made shortcut. Main screen loads and I can get to servers page. When I go to connect to a server it goes black like its loading and kicks me to desktop. Please help!

Whoa, no idea...I didn't know there was a V5 still running.

The newest EQ client no longer supports anything lower than DirectX 9. Make sure you are running 9 to start with. However, since 3dfx went under long before DirectX 9 was released, your card may not support it. Try to find a DX9 hack for it, or get a new card.

Try looking at http://www.voodoofiles.com (http://www.voodoofiles.com) . They even have Banshee drivers for XP hehe.

To quote Wise_one in another thread:
"Make sure you have dx9, I think the latest patch requires it"
So, make sure you have dx9 installed.
Beyond that, you are going to be out of luck I think, as nobody is making a big effort to keep the VooDoo 3/4/5 driver libraries updated and compatible with DirectX and other 3D renderers.
Nostalga++ with that card though, hope you have an air conditioner and a small nuclear power plant to run that thing with :D
