Is EQemu free?

Hello, i read a post that was talking about the Underground guides web site and how they are selling Eqemu. well thats where i found out about Eqemu and i paid the 15 dollars to get an account. people on that post were talking like you can make a new account for free. if that is true could some one point me to where i can do that?

umm eqemu is free thats the point that guide you bought was a rip also

If you have a copy of EQ then you can play here for free... Go to the tutorials and howtos section and look for How To Play on EQEMu... http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9649 (http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9649)

In other words, EQEMu supplies the server for you to play on (unless you want to set up your own) and you supply the client (read the game iteself)

I thank you for the replys but that wasnt what i was asking, you see my friend got his account deleted. i was asking if he could make a new one for free or does he have to spend another 15 for a account.

lol...ok im asking where do i go to make a new account for EQemu.
what web site. i have looked all over the EQemu web site and i cant find ne thing that says "make new account here" or something like that. The only place i have found were you can make a new account is buying through Underground guides, when i say account i mean User name and password that you use when when you log onto ever quest.

Click register in the forums :?, your forum account is also your EQEmu account

Let me clarify this. EQEmu is free in the sense that you can play for free on EQEmu servers, but there is NO RELATION WHATSOEVER to EQLive. That is, there is no relation to Sony's servers. If your friend wants to play on EQLive servers, he'll have to pay to play on them. EQEmu is a totally separate entity.

Yes i understand that :) i played eq live for 2 years. i understand that having a EQemu account does not get me on EQlive.

Hey, you would probably be surprised at the amount of people that believe having an EQEMu account entitles you to an EQlive account... hehe
