ok I followed the setup from the guide from 5.0 perfectly up until the msdos promt in the "Get EQEMu Source From CVS" section and it has a note about neglecting the above part if you get this error message 'cvs' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file now I followed it the best I could but its not working and if anyone can help, the line in my path is
"%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\Sy stem32\Wbem;%VDMS%;c:\EqEmu\cvs\wincvs;c:\EqEmu\cv s\wincvs\CVSNT;c:\mysql\bin"
Please help!

Post what your loginserver.ini and boot5zones.bat looks like. Also post what comes up when you run world.exe and boot5zones.bat.

I am sorry I didnt tell you I am using minilogin and trying to just play offline, the minilogin has errors on lines 1,2 and 4 but I suspect that is just account lines that arent used and are registering with the login for some reason.

To see your server in the server list, try changing your server name, in your LoginServer.ini, to something that is at least 10 characters long e.g. worldname=Sarkamen EQWorld
I think its mentioned somewhere in all the documents/guides but can't remember exactly.
Sorry no idea on the eqtime file problem.

Login server listening on port:5997 You need to change it to 5999 in your loginserver.ini file for minilogin, and also make sure your eqhost.txt file says the same....
Change all instances of your ip to either localhost or 127.0.0.1 if you are playing on minilogin....(as long as you are playing on the same computer you are running the server from)

Hey I am sorry I ment to post that Furyfitz helped me with that problem actully. Thanks anyway though, now I have that darned 1017 and there was no way I couldnt since I had just installed eq, if you know an older version of eqemu binaries that works for eq evolution I could do it again I guess. but when I runt hat patcher I am in trouble unless you can tell me the filename that screws it then Maybe I can backup the original and copy it. If not I need 5.5 binaries!!!! I posted about why I can't compile it myself on the one stop error thread.

Unless you are patched to just prior the 10th patch (read from Jan 24 to Feb 09th or something close to that) then there is just NO way to play on 0.5.3... If you cant compile the 0.5.5 then you will just have to wait for the release, and play on someone else's 0.5.5 servers... Sorry...
