You can use either card.. You will not see either 10mb/s nor 100mb/s with the current connection you have so it really doesnt matter which you use at this point, as long as you are not worried about lan speed...As far as getting only 10% of rated speed from a card, someone either lied to you, or wants to sell you a card that is labeled 100, but is actually a 10...
