What version of server do i need to run to join it myself

I updated eq and i was wondering what type of server i would need to run to join it myself. I ran the 5.2 server but i couldnt get it. I think its due to the eq i was running was more updated than the server.

If you have patched to live since Feb 10th, you can only play on 5.5 servers.... I'm not sure if there's much support out yet to create your own server, but you can play on the already available ones.

You hit the nail on the head. :) You'll most likely only be able to play on the 5.5DR1 servers if you patched recently.

IF you know how to compile and you get the source, it may not be of much help right now as I keep getting crash errors in 5.5DR1 world.exe anyway. Your best bet is to wait for a release of the binaries that Shawn319 is currently using. His server seemed pretty stable when I was on it. Aside from that, hunt for bugs on other servers that request it. :)
