question about eq, and patches

Where could i get the latest patch of eq so i could play on 5.3 dr2 servers(gave up on 5.5) and did the models update in an expansion of eq?? Ive been out of the scene for a while. Thx again :)

You cannot. You are out of luck.. there is NO way to unpatch what you have patched...

What if someone installs EQ in a different directory and doest patch it? would that be effective?

You can't play off a fresh install. To play on the 5.3 servers, you need the files from a pre 10th of Feb patch. You can't get the files unless you already had a backup. The 5.5 servers are the only one that will work with the current patch.
