heya guys
just curious about what is the better 055 compatible data base. is mw 055 alph the only one in the wild or are there others that we can use for a comparison?
I have heard some amazing things about Myra but not too sure about compatability issues. I don't seem to be getting very far with it anyway.
btw, looking forward to seeing RC1. you guys work too hard and I for one am thankful.
cheers

I was going to install the Myra database to try it out, but it's about 12 megs...as opposed to the MW database with is like 33 or 36 megs. I can't see how a 12 meg database is going to be as complete as one that's 3 times the size.
Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Hell, I don't care about the planes so much. It seems as though that's where the focus is. It would be nice to just have all the newbie areas done with working trainers in them. :) Possibly some low-mid level areas as well.
MW is pretty good aside from the lack of trainers. Can't wait for the next update.

yep, I went through and found that the trainers I looked at were wrong class eg. halfling druid trainer was in as a monk trainer or some such.
as soon as I can get a hold of some databases that work for me I may put together a chart that compares, rates, and shows level of content of each database.
If anyone who has more knowlege of database content (and that should be just about everyone as I just got here, so to speak) would like to start us off with such a chart that would be great.
ok, gotta get myself to work.
Have a good one, all

yeah I am all for that, I am not having the best time with the 55 mw alpha, I am really anooyed by the scales wolf only pets for BSt, but that could have to do with something else maybe someone can give me a hand with that if there is a solution out.

Beastlord pets is the least of it's problems....try finding trainers for some classes or checking out starting gear...messed up.

Yeah it's funked up. /sigh
I have a lot of stuff planned for mine, so it doesn't really affect me TOO much, but I'm hoping that it's fixed in the next update so I could pull those npc's out of the newer tables and source them into my database.
How can i make a NPC, a trainer NPC ?
I searched how, but i cant find ... MW55 alpha is ok, lots of problem with it like mithril bp at 200pp at kelethin vendor, but i need some NPC trainer to play :(

to change an npc to a trainer go into your db using eq admin tool, or some such, go to the npc_types table and find the npc you want to change. now change their class to GM {class}.

Forget the mithril bp...there's a full suit of mithril for sale in Felwithe. And I'm not talking the mid level bp, arms, and legs....not just those. The helm, gloves, and boots are there! Haha! REAL nice stuff. :)
