1) Anyone out there have updated DB files with added items? I took a look at the admin program and the exe itself seems damn easy, it's the getting it to work on the actual emu that seems complicated to me. I was hoping to add some new good weapons and vulak loot.
2) I read the readme completely and followed instructions, I'm still not quite sure how to start my own server... not to mention when attempting to flag myself it says failed to open loginserver.ini etc... anyone have advice?
Thanks in advance,
Para
heh this tool is still broken (I think) since 0.30. I just dont trust it myself cuz it caused me to do a couple of db wipes. there are a couple of new tools coming out soon though so be patient. as for items #itemsearch works just fine to set yourself up with thats what I use. ariak and drawde both have db's posted on this site that are mostly done.

it works with 0.3.0 but be sure to download 2.4 version and not the 2.3 actually in the links ( click on files on the first page to go get the 2.4 )

admintool 2.4 is not fully compatable with EQEmu0.3.0 Some of the tables changed and an updated admintool is not out yet. There are ways to make use of it regardless. If items is all you want, create a temp database, edit items on that one, backup the items table with mysql and import the new items table into your current database.
Or just be paitent.

Get Drawde and Ariaks combined (but unoffical) database. Althought i personally find on my computer about 5% of the spawns are actually visible to me. And if you goto Akkanon all you will see is Gnome feet protruding from the roof. Its a good DB tho best there is. Good work Ariak and Drawde keep up the good work.
