Thank you for your interest in GuildWars, even though your email was in no
way constructive I have a perfect response for you. GuildWars is limited to
the EQEMu source which is worked on not only by me but the EQEMu developer
team, the issue with resisting your own buffs is being worked on and will be
fixed shortly. As for you crashing every single zone, this sounds more like
a problem for you as I have not heard any other encounters of this. Group
bugs are worse than before due to the fact that we are now patched to live,
if you expect our software to be perfect, you are in the wrong place, return
to EQLive. We have lives like hopefully everyone else (including yourself)
have, this is something we do when we have free time, your behavior in no
way encourages us to work harder on this project. Have a good day.

People dont understand we do this for 0 profit. I make $0 from all the work i have put into the db. 99.9999% of the donations go right back to the server itself.

You dont like the server or the software, feel free to play elsewhere.

I play on GWars now and again , it's an absoloutely great server.

Sure the LD's are annoying , sure, it's not perfect, but it's free, old school (which is one of the best ideas ever) and it adds a huge twist than the usual legit or even the live servers.

Dave Thyrall is a fool. I think the whole EQEmu developer team are the best - spending many thousands of hours of work on databases, servers, coding, etc.

Don't let this moron get you down. Keep up the great work!

Yeah Image, nice job keeping your cool. For a project you guys do in your spare time (while also probably spending all of your money) its great. You guys have come a long way and have done such a good job. Like everyone else said, sure LDs and small bugs may get annoying but its a small price for free EQ and all the rest of the game that works fine.

Well I don't play on the GW server, I'm usually on the test but what that moron said was completely stupid. It's bad when someone complains like that over something they get for free. Even if they did donate cash (not sure if they really did or not), you did not force them to do it. Yeah maybe there are some bugs and some people go LD, so what it's still fun. Even if some GM's act childish...who cares it's a freakin video game, ignore and move on. I dont see why someone would expect something so perfect from people who dont even get paid to do this. Yeah if you all had the cash flowing in like sony then the servers would be kick ass, but you dont, and you have lives and have to work normal jobs like everyone else and cant find the time. Many people, including me, know this and appreciate the work you do and understand that you cant make everything just like live. It's hard to tell how many people sony has on their dev team, and I really dont wanna know how much their servers cost. So for sorry complainers like that, either buy a staff to do your perfect job, or go back to live and pay to play. This takes money and a lot of time which us normal people who have to work real jobs dont really have time to do.

What an absolute dickhead. People just dont realize that they are playing off the hard work of others for free. If he regrets donating, the hell, just give him back his money. He's like some begger on the street. Someone gives him a used sweater during a cold night, and he demands a new one. People like him just dont make any damn sense.

Theres a difference between reporting bugs and bitching about them. If the devs owe you something, then complaining is fine. But if they are working their asses off for your happiness for free. Then you should be thankful for that.

I can only hope that the devs will ignore the words of these people. Or just completely ignore them. I mean, theres not even a point in reading these messages.

It's people like this that make me not want to run my own server. One thing has to be said though, they're our servers, if your too lame to run your own maybe you shouldn't be upset when things arn't what YOU want.

God That guy is a dumass cuz this is a great game and a great server. The developers are great, and atleast theyll look at a few emails unlike EQ live. I could not get the servers to let me in to the games and i emailed the developers of EQlive about 25 emails and not one of them was ever returned. I salute u developers.

O ps i too have a problem with zone crashes but i beleive that may have something to do with my comp being slow :( .
