anyone know how to change the name of the zone?

Example:

The Jaggedpine Forest - jaggedpine

Say for instance if I wanted it to say "Ranger's Grove" instead:

Ranger's Grove - jaggedpine

So when someone types #zone jaggedpine it says they are entering "Ranger's Grove", not "The Jaggedpine Forest"

Anyone know?

it night be possible, havent tried though. try editing the names in the Zone table of the database..

make a back up first so if something does break you can fix it quick..8)

tried that and it did not work, I think the names might be in the Everquest zone files, not from the database. :(

I saw on Draclian where zone for Qeynos docks was renamed. The "you have entered" and /who showed named of newly renamed but the big one that flashes when you first zone still said Qeynos. So, it is part client/part database (I am thinking) <--call the firetrucks, there's smoke here folks

I think its in code and database. Not too sure though but I know that Draclian Signus' binaries are custom made.

The long zone name is in the eqstr_us.txt. Short zone name is server side.
