Having Issues when connecting

For some reason when I get to the login screen and type in my username and password I keep getting a error saying that they are invalid and try again. I have made sure they are typed in correctly and nothing. I also attempted reactivating it through my email and I get the message that account is already active. So someone please help me. I am not a computer wiz so please give me simple instructions to fix.. Thanks

You haven't changed your eqhost.txt, or you are patching to eqlive, see here:

or change your eqhost.txt as per the previous link and download EQW from http://www.eqwindows.com/ and deselect the 'run patch program' option.

Make sure that you're shortcut is pointing to eqgame.exe and not everquest.exe.....

getting error 1010 when i tyr to connect, I changed the eqhost file like the tutorial said to but this is still not working. What should I try next?
