I recently heard that EverQuest had a new baddie change,but my game shows the old flippin models for them.How do I change that?

All the mobs on EQLive look the same to me as they always have. Even with the latest patch. I haven't heard anything about any plans to overhaul the existing monsters, though they might do that in the future.

They have done it already, they just haven't implemented it yet. My guess is they'll patch a lot of old mobs at once in the near future. I like the look of the new mobs though...even though it's just stupid rats and bats that I saw. Hehe...

Seeing the new models, i have the same impression as when luclin was out, all models now look too realistic and lack fun. Before Luclin, Trolls, Ogres, Gnomes were fun ... Now 10yo kids need baddass monsters, chick with big boobs, lots of particles in effects or they wont play a game ... this piss me off. They have a tons of stuff to do in EQ (Someone said class balance ?) and they waste their time for that ... *shrug*
Mobs was ok, for me the major graphic problem in EQ is the cubic style of zones. Rectangle tree, and Octogonal platform in Kelethin ...
Well its fun but that wont change EQ~

The environmental (zones) graphics were ok for that time. A bit out of date, but not too much.
About the Luclin models: Like you said, they look more realistic, but there's nothing like staring at an old Troll scratching its butt during those long nights raiding.
Can't imagine the same raids with the new models turned on. Must be kinda boring,

I really think they should take the time to rework old zones so that match the new models. It looks like they took stuff from real life and dropped it into a cartoon background.

I still play with old models ... well not all ... i have Dark elf female and wood elf female luclin models activated ... But its only because new hairs are cools :P

I play with old models as well. Mostly stopped playing Live after Luclin and my PC didn't have the juice to run the new models well. Old school EQ is the main reason I like EQEmu. I envision making my (at this point non-existant) server a pre-SoL server, with some possible Planar zones and stuff. Definately no PoK books =P Yee must travel and see the world...

Yeah, I got rid of the PoK books too. That was such a gimp idea. Totally took the sense of adventure out of travelling. I feel that they should have implemented "dynamic" npc spawns in more of the big travel zones. Like the Karanas. Would have been nice if they changed spawns every once in a while so the same route isn't always the safe route. :) That's one thing I plan on doing as well.
