This is only necessary if you are running a Mini-Login Server.

The reason you are getting those warnings is because you need to add those commands to your addon.ini file.

also wondering, i did the play and host on teh same computer thing, i can get the server up.. but i cant join, and i dont know what i need to do, like i dont know what eqhost i need to use and my friends need to use to both play.

for them it just says, could not conncet to eq server. even though i see it fine but when i get to the char screen nothing happens when i hit enter, sometiems it says zone is unavailabe, and i hti enter again and it loads 20seconds then goes to the serv screen again

i dont know why this is so complicated to me, but i ahve worked on this for over 10 hours :(
i just want a server i can have my cousins and my friends and i paly on.. i have a laptop and my other computer :?

I'm sorry pheer but I seriously don't think you should be trying to run a server, no hard feelings but I swear you have multiple posts on half the forums on these boards usually asking questions that if you had common sense you could figure out on your own. Are you just trying to raise your post count or are you legitimately an idiot? I haven't been around long on these forums either, but I have run two servers so far and nobody held my hand to get them running, sure I asked a couple questions about errors I was getting but mainly I just messed with it on my own and managed to get it going. Besides all of that...there are multiple posts already on these message boards regarding ALL of the issues you are having, if you would just use the search feature (again like I did when I was a newbie here) you would find the answers to your questions without having to spam all the forums with pointless questions.

Again, I want to stress I am not trying to be a jerk, but use some common sense man. :(

I know how it is man. It is a bit complex, but to me that just tells me that there is alot it can do. When i first set up a server, i had some of the same problems. WHat I did was, delete everything and start over. I went thru the forums and found a "how to set up a server" thread and did it step by step. Also if you have a router make sure you forward the ports and/or set the host (server CPU) to "DMZ".

Dont stop trying though. This EMU is great! and WELL worth running. they have done a great job and it is really complete and feature packed. Setup can be a bit of a bear, but its cool once you get it right.

Honestly, I don't read everything I probably should have. No I am not trying to get up my post count. Just trying to get help, and hopefully get this server running for myself and my friends. Sorry for any inconvenience.

That just means those commands were not in your addon.ini file

add these to the bottom:

!help=0
!version=0
!serversidename=0
!loc=0
!flag=0
!si=10



You can pick what you want the status levels to be but most of them should be set to 0 anyway.

set it to 0, unless you're trying to run a completely legit server. I've got mine set to 10 or higher for right now.

I don't know why everyone has to give other people a hard time for asking questions. If you don't want to answer the question, just don't answer. Everyone acts like it's a personal offense to them that someone didn't search the entire index of the forum for their answer. Sure if someone is continously asking questions it can be annoying, but there's no reason to answer, and then throw in a "and while I'm at it, you're a complete moron, and I am god, look how good I am" into it.

If their questioning is really bother you that much. I have a button for you. It's called :: View Next Topic ;)
