This has already been a common occurance on my server, so I'm sure someone already knows the answer to this. :)
I'm going through my character database and I've noticed a few people with 1000 hp's at level 1. on my addon.ini I've got everything set well above 0, including the few commands that were not listed in there. (#help, ect. ect.) Is this caused by some sort of hack they're doing, or is it possible that they were having some sort of connection problems, and the database isn't 100% correct.
Also, I had a friend playing as a ranger, he say's the the tracking skill is going up way to fast. He's got a character to level 2, but with a skill of 40 in tracking. Now, my friend and I haven't played EQ Live since Velious was brand new, so I'll pose this question to you. Is this accurate to EQ Live, or is it a slight modifcation done on the EQEmu side? Thanks. :)

It depends on what server you're playing on.
Most likely the one you're on has either removed the skillcaps altogether or just raised 'em really high.
As for the HP thing, that looks like it might be a hacked char. Dunno if you can modify that on the server side or not.

The server I'm playing on is my server. I'm hosting the database, and runing the EQEmu Server. How would I edit the skill cap setting back to an EQLive like state?
If it is a hacked Char, I'd like to know how they're doing it. ;) I've disabled all GM commands from standard users.

If it's your server then most likely you don't have your skillcaps changed. If you want to make sure though, you can jsut re-download the binaries for EQEMu from SourceFORGE.net (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=41381&package_id=33683).
Typically having a hacked char is done by running a client program. The EQ game client then sends "bad data" to the server which it doesn't know to ignore. For example, I get a program that can tell EQ that "I'm supposed to have 1000 HP at level 1!" and the server will just say "Uh... OK!" and give it to me.
To my knowledge, there's nothing you can do to really prevent someone from hacking a character except watch the DB for strange instances like those you've been seeing. Then, just talk to the person the next time you see 'em online and, if necessary, ban 'em.

I did notice one of the people with 1000 Hp's never seemed to make it in game. Perhaps they're attempting a hack, and it's not working, or perhaps they've got a different version of the EQ Client then the 5.6 supported. Reguardless I was just curious to see if anyone else has noticed this who is hosting a server.

If the server catches the hacker it is put into a table in the database for you to check. You might want to check there to see if it had cought him.

I also noticed this. And the "new" client patch causes it. The person makes a char, and hits "enter world". Their client crashes, and it produces a char at lev 1 with 1000 HP. Im sure using a "hack" can occur, but i dont see how it lets anything edit the starting HP as that is generated by the server reguardless of what the client does.
