Need help logging in!!

Hello; two days ago I patched EQ. Now, when I type my username and password and click Connect, the game just closes. I just need to find out if this is because I patched, something with Windows XP, or what? I don't think it has anything to do with Windows, because I fixed that problem previously.. Thank you =)

yea im having the exact same problem. i cannot get past the user name + password. Does anyone know what to do?

Yea right now i type in login/pass, it says connecting to login server and just hangs, i dunno =\
