View Full Version : Player versus Mob distance and direction and Melee

For the longest time, I have been frustrated with how a mob can hit you from what seems like "miles" away, while a player cannot hit a mob unless they are real close to them and pointed directly at them.


Is there a way to extend the range of melee attacks and widen the degree of "visibility" for the melee attack to land for players so as to avoid the annoying "You cannot see your target" and "get closer" messages?

I cant tell you how many times it looks like I am right in front of the mob, racking up "get closer" messages, while the mob is hitting me like no ones business.

The Emu server tends to not send the client a mob loc update unless the mob has moved. Try taking a couple steps back to make the mob move, and see if maybe the server will update the mob's loc to you.
