The patch today broke the Emu yet again so don't patch until a Dev posts that its ok or you won't be able to play.

Okey, thanks for the reply ,

The only files that are important that change with each patch are the exes and dlls and uifiles. The rest are fine to use even if they were patched because you can still use updated models and zones and all that.

any idea when it'll be fixed?

Sometime between 1 hour and 10 years I would guess. Seriously though theres no way to even guess at this because it all depends on how much the devs feel like working on it and how much got changed.

Thats only 28 megs of files. Would there be a place to download each of those files of the previous patch untill the devs are able to catch up to the changes? I tried to look on the everquest site for previous patch but stopped from looking when i figured that would be retarded for them to post on their unless they supported bootleg versions. Anyways, any info where I could download would be much appriciated. Thanks! :)

Its against the forum rules to ask for old patch files as they are SOE's property adn even asking is a bannable offense according to the forum rules. Posting a link to them is much worse.

Maybe in 0.5.7-DR3 or RC1, whichever one is the next release

That makes sence, maybe I should have read the 10,000 words in the small print before I asked that quest. lol.

Where are the forum rules? I've been looking for them to make sure i'm not saying anything else I shouldn't but can't find them anywhere. I'd think if it was bannable offence it would be pretty close to surface to discourage people from asking that question brainlessly. THanks

I am one of the unfotunate who patched in ignorance. Is there anything I can do to help speed the process? I am a c++ programmer by trade, but a new one, and I do mostly *nix programming. Blah, blah, that's more of a history than any of you probably care about. I would just like to help out if possible. If anyone knows of anything I can do, let me know. I'd like to speed up the patch if possible.
