About the project
EQA is an ever-evolving project. The creators want to customize EverQuest with new spells, new items, new classes, new races, new game content, new economic systems, and allow players to live a totally different experience on Norrath. We know it will be a long project, but this has to start one day.

All classes are being redesigned, to make each of them very unique and enjoyable to play. For example, hybrids will no longer have a parent class. In EQA, each class, including hybrids, is unique. Players will have many ways to play a class. For example, you wont play a Tunarian and a Karana-worshiping druid the same way. While a Karana-worshipping druid will use storm nukes and teleportation more, a Tunarian druid will do more with animal control, and nature buffs. We want the only limits to be the player limiting themselves. If you want an Ogre Necromancer following Tunare, its possible.

Deities will be very important in EQA, I will say that 40% of your items/spells will be deity based. Each deity has a specific domain. For example, Rallos Zek followers will have the possibility to get items based on strength bonuses and hit point bonuses, while Innoruuk followers will get items based on lifetap bonuses and hate bonuses, you wont play a warrior the same way. But your deity won't provide only item/spells, you will get epic quests from them, and will get involved in following and defending your faith in your god.

Another aspect of the project is teamwork and social relation, EQA will be heavily based on quest and tradeskills, if you dont like to adventure and kill mobs, you will be able to play and have an important impact on the server.

As said before, dieties play a VERY important role in this.
Mithaniel Marr
Marr's followers will use plate armor, have many HP/AC buffs, and an absorbing damage shield.
The Tribunal
The Tribunal's followers will also wear plate armor, and specialize in use of hammers. They are able to summon those hammers and stun their enemies
Rallos Zek
Like the other two classes, the Lord of Hate's followers wear plate armor, and use powerful one-hand slashing weapons. They are also able to buff their HP and STR. (More to Come)
Bristlebane
Followers of the joker Bristlebane will only be able to use Chain, but are able to summon amazingly fun items, spin people around at will, and charm. They are also able to summon little imps, shield themselves, and damage shield themselves.
Innoruuk
Followers of Innoruuk will wear plate, use one hand slashing weapons, have DoT lifetaps, and most importantly, transfer his HP to other's mana.
Solusek Ro
Followers of Solusek Ro are only able to wear robes, and use piercing weapons. However, they are able to summon powerful imp pets to buff players and use very powerful fire DD spells, which drain mana and staming, making them versatile in PvP, and PvE.
Brell Serilis
Followers of Brell Serilis will wear plate, use 2-handed-blunt weapons, summon earth pets, buff their HP, and shrink themselves.
Cazic-Thule
Followers of Cazic-Thule wear plate, use 1HB weapons, and have powerful magic nukes at their disposal.
Prexus
Followers of Prexus are also able to wear plate, cure diseases and poisoning. They are able to breathe underwarter and lure mobs to them.
Quellious
Followers of Quellious wear plate armor, use 2HB items, have hate decreases, and can give INT/WIS buffs.
Bertoxxulous
Followers of Bertoxxulous wear robes, use 2HB weapons, and can cast disease DoT and poison DoT spells.
Karana
Followers of Karana wear chain, use 1-hand-slashing weapons, can levitate/sow, use the force of wind to throw their enemies in the air, they get additional porting locations, and use lightning to attack their enemies. Unfortunately, some of their spells are unable to be cast outside. The most powerful power they have is to control the weather.
Erollisi Marr
Followers of Erollisi Marr wear plate and wield 1-hand-slashing weapons. They are able to sacrifice themselves in battle, give CHA buffs, cast self-damage absorbing shields, and are able to taunt very well.
Rodcet Nife
Followers of Rodcet Nife wear plate, wield 1-hand-blunt weapons, can summon hammers which procs undead DD spells. They are able to fast-cast HoT, fast-cast undead DD, and DR buff.
Tunare
Followers of Tunare can only wear leather armor, but are able to give powerful AC/HP buffs, give wisp pets to players, add damage shields, and most importantly, charm animals.
Veeshan
Followers of Veeshan are only able to wear leather, and wield 1HS weapons. They are able to give powerful resistance buffs to almost any resistance stat, and are the most valuable addition to raids. In addition, they also can give pets to players.

EQA won't be a basic server, we are also releasing a client, a customized user Interface with new content including spells, textures, new server UI, a suite of tools to merge you at 100% in your EQA experience.

About the server
We actually run a BUILD SERVER, most of the time, the server is open and you will be able to check what we are adding days after days, server is called "(EQA) EverQuest Anthology Server". The server that it is be hosted on is 3.2 GHz and 1 GB of RAM, average ping on the current server is less than 100, and when we release the final server, it'll be on a 150gb connection (Not until project become playable too, near september if all goes good).

How to help ?
You always wanted to make a server but never add the skills ? You have ideas about how you would make your own RPG ? You have a know about EQLive lore ? Then you can help with the project, we have a website, a forum and we are always open, we don't want to make this OUR server, we want to make this YOUR server, where your word is taken in count, no nerf that make user frustrated, it will be your world.

Applications
If you really want to help with the project and help us develop it, by helping with DB, code, the best thing to do is first to register on forum, read all information about the project and start to post on the forum.

GMs
Fortinuately, we don't need ANY GMs as of yet. We're just running a build server (as noted above), and we've implemented this awesome code that automatically throws rule-breakers in jail. We're not hosting any events, and are not taking any GM applications until we go public.

Alot of people are confused as to our character creation process so allow me to explain.

Step 1) Once you log into our server, create a character as you normally would on EQLive, Pice a Race, Class, Set base stats etc...
do not worry what class you pick, your race/class/deity/gender combo is fully customizable once in game.

Step 2) You will spawn in the Astral Plane, Here you will find lots of npcs that can help you to better learn the "death" process in EQA,(it is not nearly complete yet, only the creation process is near completion) Once your ready go up into the building and Hail the Astral Spirit, follow the text and you will be "purified" (NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE THE EQA CLIENT FILES IF YOU WANT THIS PROCESS TO WORK CORRECTLY! you can get them HERE (http://everquestanthology.myfreebb.com/viewtopic.php?t=28))

NOTE:This Creation Process consistes of Several Client Dissconnects, YES YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO GO LD!!! You will be spit back to the character select screen each time you chagne your class/race/deity/ or gender.

once you are purified you will be ported to the City of the Forsaken one.

Step 3) Once in the City you must seek out the spawn of the Astral Spirit there, you don't have to visit it first, but it is HIGHLY RECOMENDED, the astral spirit will set your Gender and Race, simply hail it, and follow the prompts.

NOTE: EXPECT DISCONNECT MESSAGES!

once your race and gender are set, you should go choose your class. if you wish to keep the class that you choose at the normal character creation, then you can skip the next step.

Step 4) Seek out the guild house, in here there are 16 guildmasters, one for each class, if you wish to change your class simply hail the mob whos class it represents, and follow the prompts to become that class, Any race/class/deity combo is possible! (When changing your class your basestats will be set according to what class you select, so do not worry if you choose to be a necromancer at character creation and put all your points in INT, and then choose to be a shaman, your basestats will be reset, and the points will be put in the correct stats for you. (This feature is not active atm, but it should be within the next two - three days) )

NOTE: EXPECT A DISSCONECT MESSAGE IF CHANGING CLASS!

Step 5) Deity (Optional) Deityies play a very big role in EQA, so it is suggested you change your Diety to one you want based on the list int he above post. To change your deity seek out the Priest near the graveyard, hail him and follow the prompts to change your diety.

NOTE: EXPECT A DISSCONECT IF YOU ARE CHANGING DEITY!

Step 6) Welcome to your new custom class/race/gender/deity, enjoy!.

Hehe Khan made this sound funny, i got a PM askign why we won't be hosting Gm events, what this is meant to say, is we aren't going to be hosting any GM events on the build server, once the actual server is released there will be Gm events =), just not right now.
